Excursion to the Széchenyi Thermal Bath. From Budapest center on the Pest side, make your way to Bajcsy-Zsilinszky út Metro station. Take the M1 Metro to the Széchenyi fürdő stop.
If you’re not up for underground travel, make your way along scenic Andrássy út. You’ll come across Hero’s square – more on that on another page – from there make your way to the baths.
You can get tickets online or at the gate. I went in the middle of June, albeit not the full on tourist season. I found no line waiting to get in. I’m glad I didn’t waste money on a Fast Track ticket. At the time of this writing the admission was 11,000 HUF; about $30 USD.
Remember your towel, slippers, and cash or a card if you want lunch or a beer by the pool.

If you’ll permit me, a few videos of me in the hot pool.
